Life is an adventure. Marriage is a promise to embark on the journey of life together. Some people are content staying close to their roots, planning and building their life around a certain location and never veering too far away. Others crave the adventure, and seek new and exciting places, flying by the seat of their pants and landing wherever life takes them next. Being a Portland wedding photographer, I am blessed to capture whatever journey beautiful couples decide to embark upon.

Loving You is an Adventure

Tom and Payton are young and both super adventurous. They met at work and hit it off rather quickly. Though they live in Cleveland, Ohio, but they wanted to come meet me in Portland Oregon for their engagement session. Tom reached out to me via Instagram and mentioned a surprise trip to the Pacific Northwest he had planned for Payton. We met in downtown and headed out to the Columbia Gorge. Our first stop was at Multnomah Falls, which was unfortunately still closed due to the fires. The visit was short, but we grabbed a few shots there before heading to the next location.

We then traveled to the Rowena Crest Viewpoint, and it was absolute magic. Gorgeous wildflowers, dramatic cliffs, and stunning landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for some beautiful photos. Tom and Payton had amazing chemistry and were total naturals in front of the camera. The fresh air and breathtaking scenery were just icing on the cake. These two sweethearts are so excited for what lies ahead, and the adventure has only just begun.
