What a gorgeous Bridal Veil Lakes Wedding. This lovely couple from Vegas decided to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and celebrate family and each other on the Columbia Gorge in Portland, OR. The wedding was also featured by the fine folks from Pixieset, and I know why they picked this one! The naturally romantic, earthy atmosphere was stunning—and so much fun to capture. I could let my creativity run wild as a Portland Wedding Photographer. The deep green ferns, peaceful fog and woody trees looked striking against the white lace of the bride’s gown. Natasha and Froilan’s first look was so emotional and intimate, everything that it should be. I followed them down a wooded trail into some thick foliage beside a stream. The private setting let them spend some time together, just the two of them, on the most special day of their lives.
This wedding was far from unconventional in the most wonderful ways possible. The romantic surprises just kept coming. Natasha’s father canoed her in across a glass-topped lake to meet her groom on the other side. She hand-made the most intricately woven macramé backdrop to hang from the ceremony arch, and her grandmother was the flower girl, handing out cheerful daisies and sunflowers to those sitting along the aisle. As a surprise gift for Froilan, the bride had an awesomely rad mariachi band playing at the end of their sweet canoe ride over to the reception.
Speaking of the reception, this crew knew how to get their party on. The kids played on the swing set, and the adults showed off their cornhole skills in the yard. When the bride and groom arrived, everyone fueled up with some (AMAZING) tacos from Taco Pedaler Portland. Then the celebration kicked in to full swing. Everyone was dancing, even the bride’s grandmother (who probably has more moves than all of us combined)!
Congrats, Natasha and Froilan! I wish you the very best!
